THE TEAM
CHIKA ROBERTSON, SongTrees' Director, is an acclaimed violinist who has performed and recorded with eminent ensembles including the Academy of St.
Martin-in-the-Fields and London Sinfonietta. Chika was awarded her PhD for Violin Performance Practice and Pedagogy in 1999. She is currently Professor of Violin at the Royal Academy of Music, Junior
Academy. Dr Robertson is a Diploma Examiner for the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and is a popular adjudicator and presenter for festivals and workshops. She plays an Amati
violin, which features in the SongTrees material.
MMST ASSOCIATES: a carefully recruited team of skilled and experienced musicians and teachers who provide additional expertise and support for the delivery of our
projects. Each has a background reflecting the highest levels of music training and education, and is able to benefit from the experience of working with young people, including those in diverse
community environments. All Associates are selected on the basis of their skills-set and the extent to which their contribution enhances the Programme outcomes and enjoyment for
participants.
SongTrees has benefitted from the work of Terry Adams as Strategic Manager, with his first-class experience of project management from a background in marketing, operations and
research for national and multinational companies to deliver projects that meet the needs and expectations of participants.
