CHIKA ROBERTSON, SongTrees' Director, is an acclaimed violinist who has performed and recorded with eminent ensembles including the Academy of St.
Martin-in-the-Fields and London Sinfonietta. Chika was awarded her PhD for Violin Performance Practice and Pedagogy in 1999. She is currently Professor of Violin at the Royal Academy of Music, Junior
Academy. Dr Robertson is a Diploma Examiner and Professional Development Mentor for the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and is a popular adjudicator and presenter for festivals
and workshops. She plays an Amati violin, which features in the SongTrees material.
